Known for publicly criticizing the previous president Donald Trump, Jamie Dimon, the CEO of JPMorgan Chase, admitted on CNBC on Wednesday that Trump was right on a number of important topics that Americans are debating.
Dimon calls on Democrats to treat conservatives with dignity and chastises them for demonizing Trump’s followers.

In a “Squawk Box” segment at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, Jamie Dimon called for elitist Democrats to consider the significance of showing “respect” to President Trump’s followers.
“I wish the Democrats would think a little more carefully when they talk about MAGA,” Dimon revealed to the program. “When people say ‘MAGA,’ they are actually looking at people voting for Trump — and they’re basically scapegoating him.”
According to Dimon, the reason why people back Trump is that he gives priority to matters that affect their security and financial stability.
“I don’t think they’re voting for Trump because of his family values,” Before saying anything more, the CEO urged Democrats to be truthful in their evaluations of the American right.
“Just take a step back, be honest. He was kind of right about NATO, kinda right about immigration,” Dimon said of Trump. “He grew the economy quite well. Tax reform worked. He was right about some of China.”
Openly voicing his misgivings, Dimon stated that he had serious doubts about endorsing Trump in a hypothetical 2024 presidential run.
But amid the criticism there was also a sincere adulation.
“I don’t like how he said things about Mexico, but he wasn’t wrong about some of these critical issues,” Dimon told CNBC. “That’s [why conservatives] are voting for him. I think people should be more respectful of our fellow citizens.”

Dimon draws attention to an earlier instance in which former President Barack Obama disparaged conservatives who utilize their Second Amendment rights and practice their faith.
He also brought up the fact that in 2016, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton dubbed Trump’s followers a “basket of deplorables.”
“Can we just stop that stuff and actually grow up and treat other people [respectfully],” he asked.
Dimon finally said, “I think this negative talk about MAGA is going to hurt Biden’s election campaign.”
Jamie Dimon reaffirmed on Wednesday in a remark that he had previously made that Democrats should actively participate in the Republican primary. Politico stated that this action would be extremely advantageous to Nikki Haley’s candidacy.
Retaliating, Trump called Dimon a “overrated globalist,” according to CNBC.
