Adam “Pacman” Jones, once a top-tier NFL cornerback known for his explosive plays, is back in the headlines—but not for anything he did on the field. Over the weekend, Jones was arrested yet again, continuing a disturbing trend of legal troubles that has followed him long after his retirement from professional football.
Jones, 41, was taken into custody early Saturday morning in Covington, Kentucky—a city just across the river from Cincinnati, where he spent most of his career with the Bengals. According to authorities, police responded to a late-night disturbance at The Second Story Bar around 12:44 a.m.
When officers arrived, they found Jones behind the wheel, reportedly attempting to leave the scene. Police say he was visibly intoxicated, and the situation quickly escalated. Jones was booked into the Kenton County jail around 2 a.m. on charges of public intoxication, disorderly conduct, and assault on a police officer.
By 11:30 a.m., Jones had posted a $10,000 bond and was released—but the damage was already done.
