A quiet afternoon in northern Michigan turned into chaos Saturday after a horrifying stabbing spree left 11 people wounded inside a Walmart — with six clinging to life in critical condition. The alleged attacker, now charged with terrorism, was stopped not by law enforcement, but by brave citizens — including two former Marines who refused to stand by and watch.

The scene unfolded in Traverse City, where a peaceful shopping trip turned into a blood-soaked nightmare. According to Munson Healthcare, by Sunday afternoon, the condition of the wounded improved slightly — two remained in serious condition, eight were in fair condition, and one had been released. But for many, the trauma is just beginning.
Authorities identified the suspect as 42-year-old Bradford James Gille of Afton, Michigan. He now faces 11 counts of assault with intent to murder and one count of terrorism — an alarming charge that raises serious questions about motive and mental stability. Gille is no stranger to law enforcement. His record includes arrests for drug offenses and vandalism, including a 49-day stint in a Florida jail back in 2014.
