On Thursday night, beneath the bright lights and roaring crowd, an American daughter of freedom delivered a performance that will be remembered for generations.

Alysa Liu did not just win gold. She wrote a chapter in the American story that Communist China likely never wanted told.
Years earlier, before her Olympic debut at the 2022 Winter Games in Beijing, Chinese operatives were allegedly surveilling her family in California. According to the Department of Justice, it was part of broader “efforts to stalk, harass, and surveil dissidents residing in the United States.”
But intimidation did not win.
America did.
From Silence to Comeback
