Rodenbush then cited an old Senate Intelligence Committee report to defend Obama’s record, stating, “These findings were affirmed in a 2020 report by the bipartisan Senate Intelligence Committee, led by then-Chairman Marco Rubio.”
But the timing of this statement is no coincidence. It followed the release of explosive documents made public by Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard — files she described as containing “overwhelming evidence” that the Obama administration laid the groundwork for the now-debunked Trump–Russia probe right after Hillary Clinton’s crushing 2016 loss.
Gabbard’s revelations suggest the Obama White House took intelligence reports and twisted them into a political weapon, even though internal assessments showed no credible evidence of Russian interference benefiting Trump at the time. In other words, this wasn’t national security — it was political sabotage.
According to Fox News, the documents name names — and it’s a who’s who of Obama-era power players. Among those listed: President Obama, DNI James Clapper, CIA boss John Brennan, National Security Advisor Susan Rice, Secretary of State John Kerry, Attorney General Loretta Lynch, and even Deputy FBI Director Andrew McCabe.
Gabbard has taken her findings a step further, filing a criminal referral to the Department of Justice this week. While the DOJ has stayed tight-lipped, the heat is turning up fast.
President Trump was asked point-blank who should be investigated. His answer was unequivocal: “President Obama. He started it.”
“And Biden was there with him, and Comey was there, and Clapper, the whole group was there. Brennan. They were all there in the room right here. This is the room,” Trump said during a sit-down with the President of the Philippines in the Oval Office. “It was President Obama. It was lots of people all over the place.”
Trump further revealed that his administration already has the goods — and Gabbard has even more on the way. “We have all of the documents, and from what Tulsi told me, she’s got thousands of additional documents coming,” he said.
As far as Trump’s concerned, the trail of deception runs through both Obama and Clinton. “So President Obama, it was his concept — his idea,” Trump declared. “But he also got it from crooked Hillary Clinton — crooked as a $3 bill, and Hillary Clinton and her group, the Democrats, spent $12 million to Christopher Steele to write up a report that was a total fake report.”
That infamous Steele dossier — funded by Clinton’s campaign and funneled through Democrat-linked law firm Perkins Coie — was the shaky foundation used to justify secret surveillance against Trump campaign adviser Carter Page. And now, years later, it’s all coming apart at the seams.
Even though top intelligence officials privately doubted the report, Trump says they still pushed it. “It took two years to figure that out, but it came out that it was a total fake report — it was made-up fiction — and they used that,” Trump emphasized. “The Steele report was a disaster — all lies, all fabrication, all admitted fraud.”
With the evidence piling up and public trust in institutions eroding, one thing is becoming increasingly clear — the real collusion may have come from inside the White House.
