A newly released batch of declassified documents is sending shockwaves through the intelligence community. The material, unveiled by Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard and turned over to the Justice Department, alleges top Obama-era officials deliberately twisted intelligence to make the public believe Donald Trump was in bed with Russia during the 2016 election. That political fiction would go on to haunt the Trump presidency for years.
This isn’t some baseless conspiracy theory. Gabbard has gone public with damning claims that the entire Trump-Russia narrative was crafted by high-ranking officials under President Barack Obama. She says those involved didn’t just spin the facts—they flat-out fabricated intelligence to undercut Trump before he even took office.
Among the names tied to this alleged operation? Barack Obama himself, along with former DNI James Clapper, ex-CIA Director John Brennan, and fired FBI Director James Comey. And now, the spotlight is turning harsh. Clapper reportedly admitted he has “lawyered up.”
