Former Obama national security adviser and U.N. ambassador Susan Rice is once again in the political spotlight — and this time, it is her own words setting off alarms across Washington.
During a recent appearance on the Stay Tuned with Preet podcast hosted by former U.S. Attorney Preet Bharara, Rice suggested that Democrats are preparing what she described as an “accountability agenda” for corporations, institutions, and political figures who have aligned themselves with President Donald Trump.
Her remarks quickly went viral.
“Revenge Is Best Served Cold”
In a striking moment during the interview, Rice shared a line that many critics say sounded less like policy discussion and more like political retribution.
“A very prominent public figure, who has served at nearly the very highest levels, once told me … ‘Revenge is best served cold,’ and the older I get, the more I see the wisdom of that,” Rice said.
She did not identify who made the comment, nor did she outline specific actions. But she made it clear that Democrats, in her view, are preparing to take a tougher stance against what she described as enablers of Trump’s political agenda.
