Fearless conservative journalist Nick Sortor found himself once again in the crosshairs of far-left radicals in Portland — the city many now call the “capital of Antifa.” This time, the attack didn’t just target Sortor — it also led to the outrageous arrest of a Trump supporter who stepped in to help.
According to reports, Portland Police arrested Sortor Thursday night after he defended himself from violent Antifa agitators. He was released the following day — but not before enduring yet another night of chaos in the city that seems to protect radicals while punishing those who stand up to them.
Speaking with Fox News correspondent Bill Melugin, Sortor described the terrifying sequence of events. He said he had been filming Antifa militants crying after being hit with mace by federal agents when the mob suddenly turned on him. “They shoved me into a flower bed, and someone threw a punch,” Sortor explained.
In that moment, Sortor did what any person under attack would do — he defended himself. He swung back but missed, then disengaged and tried to get to safety near a group of Portland police officers. But instead of protecting him, the officers soon became part of the story.
