In one disturbing repost, Leo slammed President Trump as “racist” for calling violent illegal aliens “bad hombres” — a phrase that resonated with voters fed up with border chaos. The post Leo shared accused Trump of being xenophobic and cruel for enforcing immigration law.
In another message, Leo echoed an attack on Trump and El Salvador’s President Nayib Bukele during a White House press event where both leaders defended deporting gang-affiliated illegal aliens to prisons in Central America. The reposted message asked:
“Do you not see the suffering? Is your conscience not disturbed? How can you stay quiet?”
This pattern of anti-Trump, open-borders sentiment mirrors the exact ideology of Pope Francis — who famously tangled with Trump on everything from immigration to climate change while turning a blind eye to the Church’s abandonment of pro-life orthodoxy.
Leo’s activism didn’t stop at immigration. Following the death of George Floyd, Leo took to X (formerly Twitter) to repost a message from a Bishop calling America a racist nation in need of spiritual healing. The post read:
“We continue to pray for Mr. George Floyd and his family. In his honor, and as we prepare for Pentecost, we ask the Holy Spirit to unite us and heal our wounds. May all hatred, violence and prejudice be eradicated so that we may live in harmony and in the peace of Our Lord Jesus.”
That sentiment may sound nice, but for millions of Americans who watched their cities burn and police come under attack, it rang hollow. Once again, the Church’s leadership appears more concerned with scoring political points than standing for moral clarity.

In a particularly stunning move, Leo shared a post from radical Democrat Senator Chris Murphy mocking Christians for offering “thoughts and prayers” after mass shootings — and calling for the government to outright seize firearms.
“To my colleagues: your cowardice to act cannot be whitewashed by thoughts and prayers. None of this ends unless we do something to stop it.”
That’s right — the new Pope, the spiritual leader of over a billion Catholics, chose to promote a Democrat politician calling for gun confiscation and shaming prayer itself.
