On April 18, Prevost shared a video to a Facebook group that satirizes liberal outrage, writing:
“For my upset, crying, and left-leaning friends and others suffering from TDS, this service seems right for you.”
That was just the beginning.
In another post, Louis didn’t mince words about radical gender ideology, sharing a meme that read:
“YOUR CHILD ISN’T TRANS – YOU’RE JUST A ****** PARENT.”
Needless to say, the Left is not thrilled.
Following the 2024 election, Louis fired off a scathing post that struck at the heart of Democratic calls for “unity.” In it, he dismantled the narrative that conservatives should simply move on from years of political attacks.
“I tolerated 44 (Obama) for 8 years and kept quiet. Here is my issue with the whole, ‘let us all be a United States again’ that we heard from Joe Biden. For the last 4+ years, the Democrats have gone and scorched earth. You have salted the fields and now you want to grow crops. The problem is 75 + million of us have memories longer than a hamster,” he wrote.
That message resonated deeply with many conservatives—but struck a nerve with progressives already reeling from the political shift in the Vatican.
As if that weren’t enough, Louis also circulated a decades-old video of Nancy Pelosi condemning free trade with China and supporting tariffs—an ironic twist considering her current stance. The original post included inflammatory language, calling her a “drunk” and mocking her husband with an obscene insinuation.
British commentator Piers Morgan confronted Louis about sharing the post. His response?
“I wouldn’t have posted it if I didn’t kind of believe it.”
He didn’t back down.
Despite the storm his posts created, Louis has made it clear that he intends to stay quiet—for now. But his reasoning speaks volumes about the respect he holds for his brother and the Church, even as he remains loyal to his conservative values.
“However, I had no idea what was coming this soon, and I can tell you, since then, I’ve been very quiet, biting my tongue at some of the stuff that is out there on social media, because I don’t want to create waves that don’t need to be there because I’m a MAGA type and I have my beliefs,” he said.
“I don’t need to create heat for [Leo], he’s going to have enough.”
Pope Leo XIV’s ascent is historic in many ways—but the unexpected media attention around his conservative brother could create complications for those in power. As Louis Prevost’s old posts resurface, Democrats like Nancy Pelosi are finding themselves dragged into controversy from an unlikely source.
And while Pope Leo may preach unity and faith, his brother’s unapologetic voice is a stark reminder that the culture war is far from over.
