The American Left has spent years trying to rebrand socialism as something harmless, even beneficial. According to many progressive commentators, it’s no longer associated with government control, economic failure, or political extremism. Instead, they present it as little more than community services and social programs.
That argument took center stage this week on ABC’s The View when co-host Joy Behar enthusiastically celebrated a wave of Democratic Socialist victories in New York congressional primaries.
But the conversation took an unexpected turn when one of her fellow panelists pointed out exactly who Behar was cheering for.
