South Carolina Congresswoman Nancy Mace found herself the target of a bizarre and profane confrontation inside a makeup store over the weekend—one that quickly exploded online after she posted video of the encounter and called out what she described as left-wing harassment.
Mace, a Republican known for her blunt style, took to X (formerly Twitter) Saturday to blast the incident. “Some unhinged lunatic, a man, wearing daisy dukes, at a makeup store, got in my face today. Dems are nuts. So I went off — and I won’t be backing down,” she wrote. “I hold the line 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Try me.”

The video attached to her post paints a disturbing picture—one that’s raised alarms on both sides of the political aisle. It shows a man, yet to be publicly identified, confronting Mace with aggressive questions about her schedule for holding town halls. The tone of the encounter quickly turned hostile.
In the footage, the man repeatedly presses the congresswoman about whether she plans to host any more town hall events this year. What started as a question turned into a shouting match.
