The radical left’s obsession with Donald Trump has taken another strange turn. A former MSNBC host—booted from the network earlier this year—is now floating the idea that the assassination attempt on President Trump in 2024 may never have happened at all.
Joy Reid, once the face of the network’s failing primetime lineup, used a recent YouTube appearance to cast doubt on the July 13, 2024, shooting in Butler, Pennsylvania. Despite the mountain of evidence, video footage, and eyewitness testimony, Reid suggested the attempt on Trump’s life was little more than smoke and mirrors.
“He’s got these magical doctors who claimed that he was shot in the ear, but his ear, I guess, grew back,” Reid sneered while speaking on Katie Phang’s show. “He had a Dukal bandage on one minute, no bandage the next. We can’t get a medical record from this alleged assassination. He was supposedly shot. We have nothing. We’ve got no — we can’t even ask.”
Phang jumped in with her own mockery: “Where are the investigative records? One day, he slapped a Maxi Pad on his ear. The next day, the ear is totally fine.”
