MSNBC is shaking up its primetime lineup, and longtime liberal host Joy Reid is out. The network is pulling the plug on The ReidOut as part of a major restructuring effort under new president Rebecca Kutler, according to a report.
The 7 p.m. slot will now be filled by a new panel show featuring Alicia Menendez, Michael Steele, and Symone Sanders Townsend, insiders told The New York Times. Reid’s show, a fixture of MSNBC’s lineup since 2020, will air its final episode this week.

The move comes amid a sharp decline in viewership, with MSNBC struggling to keep up with conservative rival Fox News. In December, Nielsen data revealed that Reid had lost nearly half her audience since Trump’s election, contributing to a staggering 53% drop in MSNBC’s primetime ratings after the November 5 results.
