What was supposed to be a relaxing Sunday adventure nearly ended in tragedy for Montana climber Cody Boehm. A day on the rocks with friends turned into a fight for survival when a massive boulder suddenly broke free and came crashing down.
Boehm, an experienced climber, was at Confluence Crag in Montana, preparing to ascend when disaster struck. Still on the ground chatting with friends, he never saw the danger coming.

The damage was catastrophic. His collarbone was broken, seven ribs were fractured, his right lung collapsed, and a massive wound tore across his back.
