Minnesota has long been famous as the Land of 10,000 Lakes, but lately it seems better known as the Land of 10,000 scams.
Troubling news keeps piling up in the state, including Tuesday’s deadly incident when a woman reportedly tried to strike Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents with her car. The state that brought the nation the infamous Tim Walz is now giving Americans serious reason to question what, if anything, is functioning properly in its Democrat-led government.
And now, a new audit has added fuel to the fire.
The Twin Cities Pioneer Press reports that an audit from the Office of the Legislative Auditor—a supposedly nonpartisan watchdog—revealed the state’s Department of Human Services running a program with a flagrant disregard for taxpayer money, behavior that would have made Tammany Hall blush.
This isn’t the “day care” scandal that has been dominating headlines in the Somali immigrant community. This involves the Behavioral Health Administration, which is supposed to focus on treating mental health and addiction issues, according to KARE-TV in Minneapolis.
