The audit found public funds were being handed out with minimal oversight, and, in some cases, staffers at the Behavioral Health Administration allegedly went to great lengths to hide their tracks, including doctoring or fabricating documents meant to safeguard taxpayer dollars.
“Frankly, in the 27-plus years I’ve been with the OLA, I’ve never seen this before,” Legislative Auditor Judy Randall told lawmakers, according to KARE, presenting the findings.
“I will say we’ve had suspicions periodically, but we’ve never been able to prove it, to document it, and we did in this case. And it’s very troubling.”
“Very troubling” might be an understatement. Words like “jaw-dropping,” “mind-blowing,” or “infuriating” would better capture the scale of what’s being reported.
If Democrats in the so-called heartland are engaged in these antics publicly, one can only wonder what else remains hidden from public view.
The audit is filled with examples of basic accounting rules being ignored—rules designed to prevent taxpayer money from vanishing into thin air.
In one particularly shocking example, a BHA grant manager approved nearly $700,000 in funding for a single month’s work to one organization, even though the group “could not provide OLA with detailed invoices or data to support” the payment, according to the Twin Cities Pioneer Press.
And here’s the kicker: that same grant manager left state employment just days later to take a consulting role with the very organization that had just received over half a million dollars in public funding.
“Minnesota nice” might be charming on the surface, but in this case, it should set off alarm bells for anyone paying attention.
U.S. Rep. James Comer, the Kentucky Republican who chairs the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, noted the situation. A veteran investigator of the Biden family influence-peddling schemes, Comer recognized corruption when he saw it.
“This is what corruption under Tim Walz looks like,” Comer’s committee said on X.
Legislative Auditor Randall’s full presentation only underscores the severity of the problem, revealing one jaw-dropping revelation after another.
This is the reality of Democratic leadership under someone like Tim Walz—either complicit in criminal activity or oblivious to it. He’s the same man the Democratic establishment backed as a potential vice presidential nominee in 2024.
He’s the man Kamala Harris supported to be just one heartbeat from the presidency. He’s the individual the party and major media outlets elevated, allowing his state-level mismanagement and alleged corruption to gain credibility on the national stage.
The Minnesota scandal is not just shocking—it’s a damning indictment of a party and institutions that appear to have little respect for the country, pretending that an aging Joe Biden could serve competently for four years while ignoring red flags.
It’s more than infuriating. It’s a call to action for Americans paying attention to what’s happening in their government.
