“Me And The Ayatollah!” Trump Breaks Silence

President Donald Trump on Monday suggested a bold, unconventional approach to the tense situation in the Middle East, proposing joint control over the Strait of Hormuz while signaling uncertainty about Iran’s current leadership.

Speaking briefly on the tarmac at Palm Beach International Airport before leaving Florida after a weekend at Mar-a-Lago, Trump faced pointed questions from CNN’s Kaitlan Collins about who currently commands the vital waterway.

Trump hinted that a breakthrough could be on the horizon if ongoing talks with Tehran bear fruit. “The Strait would be open real soon,” he said, alluding to a deal he has been teasing publicly in recent days.

When asked how control of the strait would be managed, Trump made a surprising declaration. “It’ll be jointly controlled,” he said, suggesting a cooperative arrangement between the U.S. and Iran, something few would have expected just weeks ago.
