That quote was echoed in another statement, repeated almost word for word: “This president is taking notes from his favorite dictator. Let’s be clear: a president with popular policies wouldn’t need to illegally gerrymander districts, ban voting machines, or abolish vote-by-mail. This is an all-out assault not just on free and fair elections—but on American democracy itself.”
Her outrage comes on the heels of a major announcement from Trump earlier this week. Speaking on Truth Social, Trump promised sweeping action to restore confidence in America’s elections. “We are now the only Country in the World that uses Mail-In Voting. All others gave it up because of the MASSIVE VOTER FRAUD ENCOUNTERED. WE WILL BEGIN THIS EFFORT, WHICH WILL BE STRONGLY OPPOSED BY THE DEMOCRATS BECAUSE THEY CHEAT AT LEVELS NEVER SEEN BEFORE, by signing an EXECUTIVE ORDER to help bring HONESTY to the 2026 Midterm Elections.”
Trump also vowed to scrap expensive voting machines, writing: “Highly ‘Inaccurate,’ Very Expensive, and Seriously Controversial VOTING MACHINES, which cost Ten Times more than accurate and sophisticated Watermark Paper.”
Later, speaking to reporters inside the Oval Office, Trump didn’t hold back. “It’s time that the Republicans get tough and stop it because the Democrats want it. It’s the only way they can get elected.”
The former president highlighted the broader failures of the Democratic Party, slamming their embrace of radical policies. “Because with men and women’s sports and with transgender for everybody and open borders and all of the horrible things. And now the new thing is they love crime. They’re fighting me on the fact that I’ve made Washington DC safe,” he explained.
Even Russian President Vladimir Putin has taken note of America’s chaotic voting system, according to Trump. As USA Today pointed out, during a recent Fox News interview with Sean Hannity, Trump recalled Putin’s comments: “smart guy, said you can’t have an honest election with mail-in voting.”
What we’re witnessing is a clash between two visions for America’s future. On one side, Democrats like Sarah McBride are desperately clinging to broken systems that benefit their party. On the other, President Trump is pushing for reforms that would restore trust in elections and prevent fraud on a massive scale.
The Democrat meltdown shows one thing clearly: Trump’s efforts are hitting a nerve. If his reforms weren’t effective, the Left wouldn’t be panicking this hard.
