When asked about agency cutbacks, Dr. Makary clarified that the FDA isn’t shrinking — it’s streamlining. He emphasized that no scientific positions were lost, and instead of slashing staff, the agency is cutting bureaucratic waste and ending the culture of bloated internal travel departments.
Dr. Makary continued:
“The FDA is strong, and it’s going to continue to be strong. The cuts were consolidations. There were no layoffs to scientific reviewers or inspectors at the FDA.”
“There was consolidation of the twelve travel offices at the FDA. And so we’re going to institute teamwork and break up the fiefdom culture within the agency. It’s an interesting conversation.”
WATCH:
His claims echo growing concerns within the intelligence community. Earlier this year, the CIA released a fresh assessment aligning with what many have suspected for years — that COVID likely originated from a laboratory in Wuhan, China, not from a wet market or animal transmission.
CIA Director John Ratcliffe told Breitbart:
“One of the things that I’ve talked about a lot is addressing the threat from China on a number of fronts, and that goes back to why a million Americans died and why the Central Intelligence Agency has been sitting on the sidelines for five years in not making an assessment about the origins of COVID. That’s a day-one thing for me.”
That sentiment aligns with the findings of the House Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic. Their final report flat-out stated that “COVID-19 most likely emerged from a laboratory in Wuhan, China.”
And the case only grows stronger. Just last month, a former FBI microbiologist came forward with a stunning allegation — the Biden administration actively buried crucial intel that pointed directly at the Wuhan Institute of Virology as the source of the outbreak.
Jason Bannan, a former top scientist at the FBI, revealed that the Bureau’s analysis, which concluded with “moderate confidence” that COVID originated from a lab, was intentionally omitted from a 2021 presidential briefing. This raises serious questions about whether political motives took precedence over scientific truth.
Back in early 2020, The Gateway Pundit was among the first to question the official narrative and highlight the possibility that the virus emerged from the Wuhan lab — the only Level 4 virology facility in all of Asia. At the time, this was dismissed as conspiracy theory and censored across major platforms.
But what was once mocked is now gaining serious credibility. Intelligence reports, insider whistleblowers, and mounting evidence have flipped the script on the “natural origin” theory once championed by Dr. Fauci, the CDC, and the World Health Organization.
For years, these agencies insisted the virus made the jump from animals to humans. But as the facts emerge, it’s clear the public was misled — and not just by mistake. Whether through incompetence or intentional cover-up, health institutions and government agencies repeatedly pushed a false narrative while silencing dissent.
Now, as the truth becomes harder to ignore, Americans are left wondering — who will be held accountable for the lies, the censorship, and the deaths of millions?
