Bruce Springsteen is back in the headlines — not for his music, but for another politically charged outburst. The 74-year-old rocker took a swipe at President Donald Trump during a recent concert in England, using his platform to deliver a tirade that many Americans are calling out as disrespectful and hypocritical. And Kid Rock didn’t waste a second firing back.
During his performance overseas, Springsteen paused the show to scold Trump and the current state of the U.S., as if British fans had shown up to hear a political lecture.
“In my home, the America I love, the America I’ve written about, that has been a beacon of hope and liberty for 250 years, is currently in the hands of a corrupt, incompetent, and treasonous administration,” Springsteen declared. “The majority of our elected representatives have failed to protect the American people from the abuses of an unfit President and a rogue government.”
It was vintage Springsteen — performative, melodramatic, and soaked in partisan bitterness. Once hailed as a voice of blue-collar America, the millionaire rocker now seems more at home with Hollywood elites than everyday Americans. Fans who dropped over $100 for a ticket were forced to sit through what sounded more like a CNN commentary than a concert.
