As the 2024 election nears and anticipation builds around the possibility of former President Trump returning to the White House, tensions are flaring, even in public spaces. In a recent incident at a coffee shop in Alexandria, Virginia, a heated argument erupted between a supporter of Vice President Kamala Harris and a group of black Trump supporters, sparking strong reactions across social media.
The conflict began when Alexandria resident Annetta Catchings, a vocal Trump supporter, was sitting with friends at Tatte Bakery & Cafe. According to Catchings, the situation escalated when the group’s visible support for Trump triggered a “self-described national security expert,” who confronted them and began a tirade. Catchings later posted a video of the exchange on her X account, capturing the verbal clash as it unfolded.

In the video, the woman, later identified as Patti Morrissey, CEO of Global Foresight Strategies and former Department of Defense (DoD) and State Department employee, angrily denounces Catchings and her friends as “uneducated” for not aligning with her political views. At one point, Morrissey declares her professional background, shouting, “I’m a 35-year national security expert,” seemingly to justify her comments. The exchange intensified as both sides held their ground, with Catchings refusing to back down in defense of her political stance.
