Just months after promising lawmakers a full investigation into the safety of abortion pills, the FDA fast-tracked Evita Solutions’ drug without so much as a press release. The official approval letter was dated September 30 — conveniently pushed through under the radar.
Senator Hawley wasn’t fooled. “FDA had promised to do a top-to-bottom safety review of the chemical abortion drug, but instead they’ve just greenlighted new versions of it for distribution. I have lost confidence in the leadership at FDA,” he added.
The FDA’s latest partner, Evita Solutions, isn’t shy about its agenda. On its website, the company boasts that its mission is to “normalize abortion” and make it “accessible to all.” It goes even further:
“We believe that all people should have access to safe, affordable, high-quality, effective, and compassionate abortion care, regardless of their race, sex, gender, age, sexuality, income, or where they live.”
What’s striking is what’s missing. The word “women” never appears once. Instead, Evita uses woke, gender-neutral terms like “all people,” as though men can get pregnant too.
Senator Hawley immediately seized on that absurdity, writing that the FDA is partnering with a company that “doesn’t even believe there is such a thing as a ‘woman.’”
This is the same company that insists “you can make the best choice for your body” while denying biological reality about whose bodies are actually involved. Evita Solutions now joins GenBioPro in manufacturing generic versions of mifepristone — the abortion pill originally created by Danco Laboratories.
This scandal isn’t about medicine or women’s health — it’s about ideology. The FDA, under Joe Biden’s watch, appears more concerned with advancing abortion access than protecting American women.
Under President Trump, strict safeguards were in place. Women had to receive abortion pills in person after medical screening for complications such as ectopic pregnancy — a life-threatening condition. But those commonsense measures were scrapped by the Biden administration, which opened the floodgates for mail-order abortion pills and telehealth prescriptions.
Now, the FDA is approving new abortion drugs from activist companies that refuse to acknowledge women even exist. Meanwhile, lifesaving treatments for cancer or rare diseases take years to clear the agency’s endless red tape.
It’s a glaring double standard — one that should outrage anyone who truly cares about women’s safety.
The FDA promised a full safety review but instead pushed through an abortion drug with minimal oversight. The same agency that demands Americans “follow the science” refuses to follow it themselves when it doesn’t fit their narrative.
Senator Hawley isn’t letting this slide. He’s calling for the agency to be held accountable and for the Trump-era safety rules to be reinstated immediately.
As Hawley told Fox News Digital, “What needs to happen is the FDA needs to get in line with the president’s policy and put back into place the safety regulations President Trump had. Ditch the Biden approach and go back to President Trump’s approach.”
Hawley’s message is clear: the FDA has betrayed its duty to protect women and uphold medical integrity. By approving drugs that haven’t undergone proper safety reviews — and partnering with companies that deny basic biology — the agency has revealed its true priorities.
This isn’t about science. It’s about politics. It’s about pushing a radical agenda at any cost — even if that cost is women’s safety and the credibility of one of the nation’s most powerful health agencies.
The real question now is whether anyone in Washington has the courage to stand with Senator Hawley and demand that the FDA stop playing politics with women’s lives.
