During the interview, he dissected Kamala Harris’ performance as the so-called “Border Czar,” a role that has seen her preside over one of the most significant border crises in recent history.

The Real Numbers Behind Illegal Immigration
The conversation quickly turned to the number of illegal immigrants currently residing in the United States. While Welker attempted to downplay the figures, Vance didn’t back down. He cited the staggering number of 25 million illegal aliens, challenging the media’s attempt to downplay the crisis. “I think there are reasons to think that DHS is underestimating. Whatever the real number is, it’s way too high, right? It’s millions upon millions of illegal immigrants that have come in just since Kamala Harris became the border czar a few years ago. The first thing –” Vance began, only to be interrupted by Welker.
Welker, seemingly eager to protect Harris, claimed that the Vice President wasn’t technically the “Border Czar” but was tasked with addressing the “root causes of migration.” This deflection, however, didn’t faze Vance, who deftly turned the argument back on Harris.
