In many crucial presidential primary states, Scott reportedly began a $6 million ad campaign on Friday.

Scott joins prominent candidates like former President Donald Trump, former UN ambassador and South Carolina governor Nikki Haley, business tycoon Vivek Ramaswamy, former Arkansas governor Asa Hutchison, and conservative author Larry Elder in the crowded GOP presidential race of 2024.

Ron DeSantis, governor of Florida, is strongly hinting that he will soon officially announce his bid for the nomination for president. He appears to be the only serious challenger to Trump’s leadership at the moment. Stay tuned for more information starting as soon as next week.

The prospective running partner for DeSantis has been revealed in new rumors.

Before announcing his bid for the presidency in 2024, DeSantis is actively pursuing the addition of Sarah Huckabee Sanders, the governor of Arkansas, according to people close to his team.

Sources familiar with the case claim that DeSantis decided to take on the former press secretary of Donald Trump not long after she was appointed governor of a red state in 2022. Asa Hutchison, who served as the former governor of this state, has also declared his intention to run in the Republican primary for president in 2024.

“He really only has one strong choice: Sarah,” the source told the outlet. “He is desperate to lock up his running mate before he makes his formal announcement. He would announce his VP candidate very soon afterward.”

The insider continued, “He feels it’ll be a one-two punch and Republicans won’t be able to ignore a united front, especially if it’s him and Sarah.

According to a report from RadarOnline, DeSantis seems to be continuing to make tactical choices that indicate he is getting ready for a presidential campaign. This information comes after a Thursday report.

“DeSantis severed his connection to his long-standing state political committee and the tens of millions of dollars that it now controls, a step he needs to take ahead of a presidential campaign,” the outlet noted, adding: “The Republican governor is expected to jump into the race for president soon and the move to rebrand his Florida political committee — called Friends of Ron DeSantis — is the most concrete sign so far that his candidacy is imminent.”

The end of Florida’s legislative session is quickly approaching, and Governor DeSantis has been adamant that he will wait making a decision about running for president until then.

DeSantis informed the state of his formal withdrawal from the political committee on Friday. This implies that he will no longer take part in any direct or indirect fundraising for the cause.

The committee has amended its mission statement to better express its commitment to supporting the Freedom Agenda and safeguarding freedom in Florida. State Senator Blaise Ingoglia, who has taken Rep. DeSantis’ post, has been linked to this shift. The webpage has been updated as of Tuesday am to reflect this new course.

“Ingoglia is a Republican ally of DeSantis who sponsored several of the governor’s key legislative priorities during the recently concluded legislative session, including a crackdown on illegal immigration that includes $12 million for the governor’s controversial migrant relocation program,” the outlet said.

“DeSantis first set up his committee back in 2018 and he used it to raise a record amount of money for his re-election campaign last year as he pulled in donations from many major Republican donors. Current campaign finance records show that the committee has nearly $86 million in the bank,” Politico added.
