Illegal Immigrant’s Two Words Cost 3 Americans Their Lives

Three American lives were cut short in Florida, and the heartbreaking truth is this: it didn’t have to happen. The man behind the wheel never should have been in this country. Immigration officials had him in custody years ago, but instead of deportation, loopholes and leniency allowed him to stay. The result? Three grieving families, all because the system chose political correctness over protecting American lives.

The story doesn’t begin on Florida’s Turnpike where Harjinder Singh made a reckless U-turn that ended three lives. It began in 2018 when Singh was caught crossing illegally into California. Immigration officers prepared to deport him—case closed, or at least it should have been. But Singh knew the one trick that would halt the process instantly.

When confronted with deportation, Singh simply said he had a “fear of returning to his home country.” That’s it. No evidence, no documentation, no credible threat. Yet, with those two words, the deportation stopped cold. U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services backed his claim and even released him on a $5,000 bond. Just like that, Singh walked free inside the United States.

Think about this: Singh wasn’t running from persecution, didn’t have family ties in America, and checked none of the boxes for asylum. Still, because he claimed fear, the government let him stay. That decision directly paved the road to Florida where three innocent people lost their lives.
