ICE Just Stopped a Potential Terror Plot!

In a sweeping enforcement action that spanned multiple states, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents arrested 11 Iranian nationals illegally residing in the country—many with serious criminal backgrounds and direct ties to terrorist organizations. The alarming roundup highlights once again the growing national security concerns under the Biden administration’s lax immigration oversight.

The arrests took place across a broad range of states—Minnesota, Mississippi, Alabama, California, New York, Colorado, Texas, and Arizona. According to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), the captured individuals include a former Iranian military sniper, a member of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), and a man with documented ties to Hezbollah.

In St. Paul, Minnesota, ICE apprehended 56-year-old Mehran Makari Saheli. Saheli, a former IRGC member with Hezbollah links, was previously convicted of a firearm-related felony and had been ordered removed by an immigration judge in 2022. He ignored that order and remained in the U.S. until his arrest last weekend. Saheli is now in ICE custody awaiting removal.
