In a fiery address before departing for the NATO Summit in the Netherlands, former President Donald Trump unleashed a series of explosive remarks over the unraveling situation between Israel and Iran—taking direct aim at both foreign governments, as well as the American mainstream media.
Trump, who confirmed his administration’s authorization of strikes on three Iranian nuclear sites just days ago, responded Tuesday morning to renewed hostilities in the region despite what had been touted as a breakthrough ceasefire. “We basically have two countries that have been fighting so long and so hard that they don’t know what the f*ck they’re doing!” he said.
The renewed rocket exchanges, coming on the heels of a tentative ceasefire, have cast doubt on any semblance of peace in the war-torn region. According to Trump, Iran’s retaliation against a U.S. airbase in Qatar was “very weak” and conducted with prior warning. “They’ve gotten it all out of their ‘system,’ and there will, hopefully, be no further HATE,” Trump stated. “I want to thank Iran for giving us early notice, which made it possible for no lives to be lost, and nobody to be injured.”
