ICE Detains Record-Breaking Wave of Illegals!

>> Continued From the Previous Page <<

Trump’s ironclad pledge to curb illegal immigration has been a defining pillar of all three of his presidential campaigns, and he appears determined to deliver on promises critics once dismissed as rhetoric. Within the first few months of his second term, ICE has been on a relentless pace.

In a release issued in April, ICE announced it had “arrested 66,463 illegal aliens and removed 65,682 aliens, including criminals who threaten public safety and national security.”

“Three in four arrests were criminal illegal aliens, putting the worst first,” the release stated.

While left-wing politicians, media pundits, and Hollywood elites condemn the administration’s firm stance on immigration enforcement, the American public seems to be standing firmly behind Trump. An NBC News poll conducted last month found that 51 percent of respondents support the president’s approach to handling illegal immigration and deportations.

This public support comes as the administration appears undeterred by backlash, pressing forward with legal battles, policy shifts, and operational crackdowns aimed at sealing the southern border and weeding out criminals embedded within illegal immigrant populations.

Trump has hinted that his second term will bring more than just heightened enforcement—it could also usher in a legal reckoning for those deemed responsible for past immigration failures. Among those reportedly in his sights is former Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, who some Republicans have accused of enabling the chaos at the border.

“There have even been reports that he is considering an investigation into former DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, whom Republicans accuse of being complicit in the southern border invasion over the past several years.”

The record-breaking detentions come on the heels of mounting scrutiny toward the prior administration’s handling of migrant children. Just weeks before CBS News published its findings, ICE released a statement slamming President Biden’s team for allegedly handing over migrant minors to individuals who were not properly vetted—a lapse that, in some tragic cases, reportedly led to abuse.

“Our agents are doing what should’ve been done all along: protecting children, not pushing them into the shadows,” ICE spokesman Laszlo Baksay said in the release.

“This is the responsibility of any government, Republican or Democrat, but it was the Trump administration that insisted on rigorous sponsor screening and biometric verification. Those guardrails were dismantled, and we’re now seeing the consequences.”

As Trump charges forward, his allies argue the unprecedented detainee numbers demonstrate that the administration is finally putting national security first and prioritizing the removal of criminal aliens. Supporters contend that decisive measures are necessary not only to secure the nation’s borders but also to correct years of what they see as mismanagement under President Biden.

Trump’s critics are unlikely to relent, but the numbers speak for themselves: ICE has never before housed so many individuals in detention, signaling a new era in America’s ongoing fight to control its borders and enforce its immigration laws.

And if the former president has his way, this record may not stand for long. As he eyes further Supreme Court victories, a finished border wall, and sweeping deportation operations, Trump seems determined to “finish what he started”—no matter who tries to stand in his path.
