Immigration and Customs Enforcement has reportedly broken its monthly arrest record for the second consecutive month, underscoring the Trump administration’s aggressive push to expand immigration enforcement across the country.
The new figures come amid continuing clashes over federal immigration operations, particularly in major Democratic-run cities where activists and local officials have fiercely resisted ICE.
According to the latest numbers, ICE made roughly 51,000 arrests of illegal immigrants during July, surpassing the approximately 43,000 arrests recorded one month earlier.
