ICE Arrest Exposes Disturbing Assassination Link

Federal immigration agents have arrested an Ecuadorian businessman living in the United States who is wanted back home in connection with the assassination of presidential candidate Fernando Villavicencio.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement detained Xavier Edmundo Jordán Mendoza in Doral, Florida, on September 16. Jordán is accused by Ecuadorian prosecutors of being one of the alleged intellectual authors behind Villavicencio’s 2023 murder.

Video of the operation quickly spread across social media, appearing to show federal agents taking Jordán into custody. His wife was also reportedly detained during the operation.
