Judge Judy Sheindlin has weighed in on one of the most closely watched murder cases in America — and the longtime television jurist says prosecutors could be taking a risk if they allow the Lindsay Clancy case to end with a hung jury.
Sheindlin, best known to millions of Americans simply as Judge Judy, was approached by TMZ in New York on Thursday and asked for her reaction to the stunning mistrial in Clancy’s Massachusetts murder case.
Clancy is accused of killing her three young children inside the family’s Duxbury home in January 2023. Her attorneys have never disputed that she caused the children’s deaths. Instead, the trial centered on the far more complicated question of whether she was legally criminally responsible for what she did.
