Harris Odds EXPLODE! Trump Keeps Narrow Margin

The race between Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump has become even more unpredictable as a brief surge in betting odds favored Harris, though Trump still holds a slight edge overall. The landscape of the betting markets offers a unique perspective on this high-stakes election, with both candidates’ odds shifting frequently as campaign events, polls, and news developments unfold.

In early October, betting odds for both candidates were neck-and-neck, with fluctuations reflecting slight gains or losses on platforms like Kalshi.com. Until around October 10, Harris and Trump saw their odds hover around equal chances of winning, with each candidate gaining or losing just a percentage point or so on a given day. However, Trump began to gain more significant traction as October progressed, peaking on October 28 when his odds of winning reached 64.2%, a comfortable lead over Harris, who slipped to 35.8%.

However, in a surprising turn, Harris experienced a notable bump on Friday. Her odds spiked, closing in on Trump’s lead and narrowing the gap to 53% for Trump and 47% for Harris. This sudden rise appeared to reflect favorable developments for her campaign or a temporary shift in public sentiment captured by these betting platforms. Yet, the surge was short-lived, as Trump regained ground the following day. By Saturday, his odds had climbed back to 56%, while Harris’s dropped to 44%, and the dynamic remains fluid, with figures shifting on an hourly basis as new polls and sound bites surface.
