Despite his best efforts to deter Americans from supporting Trump, the comedian’s fiery, expletive-filled outburst appears to have had the opposite effect, with many social media users expressing increased support for Trump in response. Eichner’s rant, which he posted just weeks before the election, reflects the escalating frustration among certain left-wing celebrities.
On his social media, Eichner urged his followers to “fing panic” about Trump’s momentum in the polls, admitting, “The polls are not good.” His message to voters: take action or risk a Trump victory in 2024. Eichner’s blunt warning was clear, calling Trump “a fing nepo baby, incompetent motherf***er who is mentally disintegrating.” Yet, Eichner’s fervent words appear to have sparked a different reaction from viewers. Rather than instilling urgency, Eichner’s rant turned into fuel for Trump supporters, many of whom took to social media to express their backing for the former president.

In an attempt to restrict feedback, Eichner turned off the comments on his Instagram post — a move often seen when celebrities expect backlash. In what some might call poetic justice, comments on TikTok and other platforms began surfacing in favor of Trump. According to the Daily Mail, some users posted remarks such as, “Trump it is! Thanks, Billy,” and “I agree with Billy Trump 2024!!” Another even declared their vote in California, saying, “Just voted with this incredible momentum in California.”
