Unlike corporate campaigns that rely on glitzy press releases and empty slogans, GOVX ran a coordinated, thoughtful campaign that combined customer action, brand partnerships, and American grit to deliver results.
A Mission-Focused Giving Machine
The core of GOVX’s fundraising power came from its monthly giving program, where a percentage of every purchase goes toward military and first responder charities. Every piece of tactical gear, outdoor equipment, or lifestyle product bought by one of GOVX’s 10 million+ members helped fund a brighter future for a military family.
This initiative alone raised nearly $28,000, but that was just the beginning.
Luminox Steps Up with Tactical Precision
Backing GOVX’s efforts, Luminox—a Swiss watchmaker trusted by Navy SEALs and elite units around the world—added a direct $10,000 donation.
This marks the second consecutive year that Luminox has stood beside GOVX to back Folds of Honor, reinforcing their long-standing respect for America’s warriors.
Their history of providing watches worn in some of the world’s most dangerous combat zones speaks to their deep connection to the military community. This donation was not for show—it was a continuation of a long commitment.
Bull Riding with a Purpose
Perhaps the most unique component of this campaign came through an unlikely but powerful partnership with Professional Bull Riders (PBR). For every cowboy who completed a full eight-second ride in the Pendleton Whisky Velocity Tour, GOVX pledged $50 to Folds of Honor.
That bold campaign—blending rodeo grit with patriotic giving—generated another $25,000 by season’s end.
While it might seem like an odd pairing, the tie between bull riders and warriors is deeper than it looks. Both rely on fearlessness, discipline, and the will to stare down danger.
A Real Impact on Real Families
Folds of Honor isn’t just another charity padding its PR numbers. Since its launch in 2007 by Lt Col Dan Rooney, the organization has awarded over 62,000 scholarships to spouses and children of fallen or disabled service members.
Each scholarship can be worth up to $5,000, with $2,500 per semester—a crucial lifeline for families struggling after the loss or injury of a loved one.
In recent years, Folds of Honor has expanded to include first responder families as well—another group of Americans that too often sacrifices in silence.
True Leaders with Skin in the Game
Col Nick Nichols, President of Folds of Honor, praised the consistency and character of GOVX’s team and community:
“Year over year, GOVX and its members have been such an incredible force for good for the families we serve… It’s because of great partners like GOVX these families know they are not forgotten.”
GOVX CEO Alan Cole echoed the sentiment, highlighting the teamwork behind the donation:
“This total donation to Folds of Honor represents the best of what we are capable of when we unite for a common cause… to drive vital support for the families of fallen and disabled heroes.”
These are not executives chasing applause. They’re builders, patriots, and professionals who understand that duty doesn’t end at the office door.
$2 Million and Counting
GOVX isn’t new to this. Through their GOVX Gives Back program, they’ve now funneled over $2 million into causes supporting military and first responder families.
Each month, they feature a new charity—and with every purchase made on the site, a piece of that money goes straight to helping real people in real need.
This is capitalism done right. No red tape, no government handouts—just American companies and American people doing what they can to make life a little better for those who’ve sacrificed everything.
Patriotism in Action
At a time when many corporations trip over themselves to pander to trendy causes, GOVX, Luminox, and the PBR are doing something refreshingly different: helping American heroes without asking for attention.
This nearly $63,000 donation isn’t just a number. It’s a message to military families that their service—and their sacrifice—will never be forgotten.
Because patriotism isn’t a slogan. It’s action. It’s loyalty. It’s giving back. And it’s exactly what this country needs more of.
