In a shocking development out of Minnesota, the man behind a brutal double shooting that left a prominent Democratic lawmaker and her husband dead — and another lawmaker and his wife seriously wounded — has been exposed as a former appointee of Democrat Governor Tim Walz.
The accused, 57-year-old Vance Luther Boelter, was once handpicked to serve on Walz’s prestigious Workforce Development Board. Yet this week, he allegedly donned police gear, posed as a law enforcement officer, and unleashed gunfire on two political households in what authorities are calling a “targeted assassination.”
From Governor’s Boardroom to Gunman on the Run
Boelter’s resume paints the picture of a man once trusted by the political establishment. Not only was he appointed by Walz in 2019, but records also reveal he previously served on a similar council under then-Governor Mark Dayton in 2016. But now, he’s the subject of a massive statewide manhunt.
