The mystery swirling around Jeffrey Epstein’s demise has taken another twist as a prominent journalist claims to have received the convicted predator’s final message—an ominous quip that seems both casual and foreboding.
Journalist and author Michael Wolff revealed this week that hours before Epstein was discovered dead in his New York jail cell, he messaged him through an attorney with a short but loaded phrase. “His message to me hours before this happened was — and it was just in response to me asking how he was — and he said, ‘Still hanging around,’” Wolff said on “The Daily Beast Podcast.”
Wolff insists the message arrived the night before Epstein’s death. “I believe that I got the last message from him before he died,” he explained. “And this came through one of his lawyers on a Friday evening. He died on Saturday morning.”
