Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy has delivered a seismic blow to the Biden administration’s cherished diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) agenda — and taxpayers across the country are breathing a sigh of relief.

After years of watching federal transportation dollars vanish into what critics call leftist social experiments, Duffy has declared an end to the Biden-era mandates that forced grant recipients to play along with progressive policies unrelated to actual roads, bridges, or transit systems.

In a move that sent shockwaves through Washington, D.C., Duffy issued a sweeping letter informing all federal transportation grant recipients that the costly DEI requirements of the past four years are now optional — or outright scrapped.
