In a fiery week that saw tech mogul Elon Musk lock horns with President Donald Trump and Republican lawmakers, the SpaceX and Tesla CEO is now trying to dial it down—quietly deleting a bombshell accusation he launched on social media just days ago.
Late Thursday, Musk lit up the political landscape when he posted on X:
“Time to drop the really big bomb: @realDonaldTrump is in the Epstein files. That is the real reason they have not been made public. Have a nice day, DJT!”
The shocking message was sent to his massive following of over 200 million users—without a shred of evidence to support it.
Musk didn’t stop there. He doubled down minutes later with:
“Mark this post for the future. The truth will come out.”
And in a third follow-up: “I will apologize profusely as soon as there is a full dump of the Epstein files.”
He even went so far as to call for the impeachment of President Trump, a move that left many on both sides of the aisle stunned.
