For years, Elizabeth Warren has sold herself as a “reasonable” Democrat — a champion of the middle class who’s not part of the far-left fringe. But during a live CNBC interview this week, that façade crumbled in spectacular fashion.

Appearing on Squawk on the Street Monday, the Massachusetts Senator immediately waded into controversy by defending a self-proclaimed socialist running for mayor of New York City. Her defense was so radical, even the host was visibly stunned.
The candidate in question? Zohran Mamdani — a 33-year-old Democratic Socialist whose platform includes massive tax hikes on businesses and high earners in a city already bleeding residents and jobs.
CNBC host David Faber didn’t waste time pointing out the obvious: these policies would be a death sentence for New York’s economy.
