In a case that’s igniting fury across the nation, the Department of Homeland Security has taken matters into its own hands after a Democrat prosecutor let an illegal alien teen walk free—despite a deadly high-speed crash that left a 24-year-old woman dead. Americans are now questioning how justice could be so blatantly denied, especially when a life was taken and accountability abandoned.
The young woman, Kaitlyn Weaver, was killed in July 2024 when her vehicle was violently struck at an intersection in Arapahoe County, Colorado. The driver? A 15-year-old illegal alien from Colombia, who was reportedly racing through a residential neighborhood at speeds approaching 90 miles per hour. Kaitlyn’s car was T-boned in the middle of the road. According to her father, “It was an instantaneous death.”
Despite the horrific nature of the crash, and the obvious recklessness that led to it, Arapahoe County District Attorney Amy Padden—a Democrat backed by Governor Jared Polis and socialist Senator Bernie Sanders—opted for leniency. Instead of jail time, the illegal alien teen was handed a sweetheart deal: two years’ probation and 100 hours of community service. No prison. No juvenile detention. No deterrent whatsoever.
The identity of the offender remains sealed due to state laws protecting juvenile criminals, but the backlash against this decision has been loud and widespread.
