Democrats are pointing to a new Fox News poll as evidence that the political environment is moving sharply in their direction ahead of the 2026 midterms.
But Republicans looking beneath the headline numbers will find several important caveats — beginning with exactly who was surveyed.
The latest Fox News survey interviewed 1,211 registered voters nationwide between September 11 and September 14. It was conducted under the joint direction of Beacon Research, the Democratic half of Fox’s polling team, and Republican firm Shaw & Company Research. The poll carries a margin of sampling error of plus or minus three percentage points.
