Comey, who oversaw the FBI’s now-discredited Crossfire Hurricane investigation into alleged Trump-Russia collusion, is facing fierce backlash after sharing a bizarre photo online. The image—seemingly innocent at first glance—features seashells carefully arranged to display the numbers “8647.”
But critics say the numbers are anything but random.
The post immediately set off alarms across conservative circles. The numbers “8647” have been interpreted by some as coded language. Trump supporters allege the post is meant to suggest violent intent, with the “86” being a well-known slang term for killing someone, and “47” possibly referencing Trump as the potential 47th president of the United States.
