The deep-state chickens are finally coming home to roost.
After years of political cover-ups and media protection, former FBI Director James Comey has been indicted for lying to Congress and obstruction of justice — and the fallout inside the bureau is already exposing just how corrupt the system has become.
Comey’s Fall From Grace
Comey, who led the FBI during its infamous “Russia hoax” crusade against Donald Trump, was charged last month after a grand jury found he misled lawmakers in his September 30, 2020 testimony before the Senate Judiciary Committee.
Prosecutors allege Comey “made false statements about the FBI’s handling of classified information” and “obstructed inquiries” into the bureau’s Crossfire Hurricane investigation — the same politically driven probe that targeted Trump’s 2016 campaign.
After the indictment dropped on September 25, Comey’s attorneys promised he would appear voluntarily for arraignment on October 9 in federal court in Northern Virginia.
But inside the FBI, leadership had other plans.
