The statement continued, making it clear that Dominion is prepared to defend itself and its clients against any misinformation or false claims that may arise during this election season.
“We remain fully prepared to defend our company & our customers against lies and those who spread them.”
Dominion’s post has garnered over two million interactions since it was shared, yet the company disabled comments to prevent any hostile responses, an action that some have found controversial. The company appears to be bracing for the heated political discourse that typically surrounds national elections, especially in the wake of ongoing concerns about election security.
To back up its message, Dominion included a link to its website, which reiterated that the company is headquartered in the United States, specifically in Colorado. The website also addresses ongoing conspiracy theories, denying any ownership connections to controversial figures like George Soros or foreign governments, including China.
“Dominion is a U.S. company headquartered in Colorado with no ownership ties to George Soros, foreign leaders (including no financial ties to the Chinese government), or U.S. political party leaders,” the site claims.
The website further provides a collection of fact-checks from mainstream media outlets, asserting that Dominion has never been involved in election fraud or any related crimes. The page emphasizes that after multiple recounts and audits, Dominion’s systems have consistently been shown to provide accurate and reliable election results.
“Thousands of audits and recounts since November 2020 have confirmed the accuracy and integrity of election results and verified the reliability of Dominion’s certified voting systems,” the company said on the site.
Dominion made it clear that it is taking action to combat any false narratives that may surface, as well as to protect its reputation and the integrity of the U.S. democratic process.

“Dominion is taking action to set the record straight and defend our company, our customers, and our democracy,” the statement concludes.
Dominion’s renewed efforts to defend its systems come after it became the center of controversy following the 2020 presidential election. The company faced accusations of participating in a massive voter fraud operation that many conservatives believe led to President Joe Biden’s victory. Although no substantial evidence has been found to support these claims, they continue to be a point of contention for many.
In April 2023, Fox News agreed to pay Dominion a massive $787 million in a settlement over the network’s promotion of unfounded election rigging allegations. Originally, Dominion had sought $1.6 billion in damages.
Dominion’s recent post on X marks its first activity on the platform since October 2022. This silence coincided with Elon Musk’s acquisition of Twitter. Musk, who has since become one of the most influential voices on the platform with over 200 million followers, has been a vocal critic of voting machines in general. He previously expressed concerns that electronic voting machines could be susceptible to hacking, whether by humans or artificial intelligence, and called for their removal.
“We should eliminate electronic voting machines,” Musk wrote back in June. “The risk of being hacked by humans or AI, while small, is still too high.”
As the 2024 election looms closer, the conversation around voting machines, election security, and misinformation will undoubtedly intensify. Dominion Voting Systems’ proactive stance signals that the company is prepared to meet these challenges head-on. However, given the highly polarized political climate, it remains to be seen whether these reassurances will quell doubts or further fuel the ongoing debate about election integrity.
With tensions running high, and concerns about the reliability of the electoral process still front and center for many Americans, Dominion’s role in ensuring a secure and transparent election will be under intense scrutiny once again.
