The 2024 election is proving to be a tough pill to swallow for many on the left, and perhaps no one is feeling it more than Mika Brzezinski, co-host of MSNBC’s Morning Joe. In a recent segment, Brzezinski went on a passionate and somewhat unhinged rant about former President Donald Trump and his growing popularity among voters. Her frustration seems to be growing, particularly after a widely discussed interview with Vice President Kamala Harris on Fox News, which she claims is part of a bigger problem involving the media’s role in Trump’s resurgence.
Brzezinski’s main concern seems to be the increasing support for Trump from Republican voters, even as his rhetoric continues to be divisive. During her Morning Joe appearance, she made an emotional appeal, warning Republicans that their freedoms could be at stake. “This is not a time for jokes, and this is not a time to dance around topics because this is coming at all of us,” she said. “Republicans too, your freedoms are at risk too. Don’t know what you’re doing supporting this man right now with what he has said.”

Brzezinski’s frustration didn’t stop there. She accused Fox News of intentionally downplaying Trump’s rhetoric, going so far as to claim that they are helping to “cover up” what she described as “clear fascism” in Trump’s behavior. “There are efforts to sidestep, dance around things that he’s saying that are clear fascism,” Brzezinski claimed, pointing fingers at Fox News as an enabler.
