A North Carolina man with what authorities describe as an extensive criminal history has been taken into custody after disturbing videos circulated online appearing to show women being randomly attacked on the streets of Charlotte.
Di-Quan Schafar Hunt was apprehended by the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department following an investigation into an assault in the Dilworth area. The case attracted widespread attention after video clips purportedly connected to Hunt began spreading across social media.
The footage is difficult to watch.
