Michigan Democratic Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed is facing renewed scrutiny after an old documentary clip resurfaced showing him delivering a remarkably candid assessment of one of his state’s most famous destinations.

El-Sayed, who is now seeking to represent Michigan in the U.S. Senate, was filmed during his unsuccessful 2018 campaign for governor expressing his outright dislike for Mackinac Island.
