CBS News just got exposed, and now they’re backpedaling fast.
The liberal network admitted that it deceptively edited an interview with Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem on its flagship show Face the Nation. After public backlash and mounting evidence, CBS is pledging changes to how the program will handle future interviews.
The Setup
The controversy began after last Sunday’s broadcast, when CBS anchor Ed O’Keefe pressed Noem about the Biden administration’s handling of Kilmar Abrego Garcia — an illegal alien, alleged MS-13 gang member, and human trafficker.
O’Keefe asked why the Department of Homeland Security was moving to deport Garcia instead of forcing him to stand trial in the United States. Noem started answering the question, but viewers quickly noticed something off when her response was chopped mid-sentence and the program abruptly shifted to the next topic.
