CBS Exposed… Forced To Back Down!

Noem Fights Back

Noem wasted no time blasting CBS for the stunt. She posted the unedited video clips to her social media accounts, calling out the network directly.

“I joined CBS to report the facts about Kilmar Abrego Garcia. Instead, CBS shamefully edited the interview to whitewash the truth about this MS-13 gang member and the threat he poses to American public safety,” Noem declared.

The clip that CBS actually aired showed only a sanitized portion of her response.

“Prosecution decisions are always made by the Department of Justice and Pam Bondi’s department, so we will let them do that, although this individual does have criminal charges pending. He has charges pending against him civilly as well. And the one thing that we will continue to do is to make sure that he doesn’t walk free in the United States of America.”

After that, the broadcast jumped to O’Keefe’s next question about whether the administration should deport Garcia to Uganda.

The Part CBS Didn’t Want Viewers to Hear

What CBS conveniently left out is far more damning.

“This individual was a known human smuggler, an MS-13 gang member, and an individual who is a wife beater, and someone who is so perverted that he solicited nude photos from minors, and even his fellow human traffickers told him to knock it off. He was so sick in what he was doing and how he was treating small children. So, he needs to never be in the United States of America, and our administration is making sure we’re doing all that we can,” Noem explained, according to Fox News.

This portion of her answer never made it on air.

CBS Backtracks

Facing outrage from viewers and undeniable proof from Noem herself, CBS finally issued a statement. The network announced it will now require Face the Nation interviews to be either live or live-to-tape, with only rare exceptions.

“In response to audience feedback over the past week, we have implemented a new policy for greater transparency in our interviews. FACE THE NATION will now only broadcast live or live-to-tape interviews (subject to national security or legal restrictions). This extra measure means the television audience will see the full, unedited interview on CBS and we will continue our practice of posting full transcripts and the unedited video online,” the network said.

The Bigger Picture

For years, conservatives have accused corporate media outlets of twisting facts to fit their agenda. This latest scandal proves the point. Instead of showing Americans the full truth about a dangerous criminal, CBS tried to soften the narrative — and they got caught red-handed.

Kristi Noem refused to let them get away with it. By releasing the full footage, she exposed what CBS wanted to hide. And now, the network has been forced into an embarrassing policy shift that reveals just how badly they mishandled the situation.

The question remains: How many other interviews have been deceptively edited in the past — and what else has CBS been hiding from the American people?
